What application do you use to download your camera or print photos?

Most programs allow you to resize certain gif's , jpg's and bmp's..

http://www.imageresizer.com/

thats what i use.. it's free has no spyware.. it's free.. not time locked.. or limited.. free..

Use at own risk... if your not compentent with computer software.. spend the 40-90 bucks on Photoshop SE or PaintShop Pro.

pixels

when they say 800 X 800 they are refering to pixels per square inch so your picture is either listed as actually print size
or in inches or measured by how many pixels it is....
so you click on image then resize and change the value to pixels and adjust the number to your desired size,,,,
sometimes you have to crop or reduce the extra not needed back ground to keep the photo big enough to preserve clarity.

Raven,
When they ask for 800X800 it means total size.
800ppi is way to much resolution and 200 is screen resolution. A resolution of over 72 ppi is a waste since all it does is make loading a page go slower.
In Photoshop I first went to pull down menu image, selected "size" and put 120 in the boxes for sizeXsize (120 went into the box that contained the larger #), go to the pull down menu, select file and go to "save for web" let go of mouse button and follow prompts. If you look at my avatar, you'll see what happens. The original size was 8X10 inches and scanned at 600ppi then I downsampled to 72ppi and changed the pixel dimensions as described. I forget what the requirements were for the avatar (I think it was 120x120) but as you can see, it looks okay.

If ya use PhotoShop 6 or 7, just go to "Save for web" it will optimize the image, should keep it at 72 ppi and you can also adjust the dimensions.
