Question Beer?

Donna told me yesterday that she heard about some place in Warwick where you can go and pick out your ingredients for a brew, they "mix" em up, then you come back 2-3 weeks later for a sample of it.

Anybody know this spot, where it is, and what it might be called?

Is that up near the Jct. of 115 and 2? If so, I probably rode right by it on the way to/from the job interview I told you about that I had a month back or so.....

Lots of places like that around now Steve.
It's lots of fun and the stuff usually comes out primo.
And, you forego the hassle of having to clean up your mess.
Dowside is that its expensive; I like brewing at home, but it's messy and you really need a partner in crime.
You should give the storebrew thing a shot, you'll definately have a good time, but be ready to shell out $150.
Later,
Rick

Rick....I'm all set up to make my own home brew, for about 2 cases.....in fact, I had one last night ( a bottle, not a case....).....it's not so much the cost for me anymore, but the time to put into it.....

Once you get the equipment, it is actually quite economical, other than your tie...

I know a few kids who went the homebrew route... they, ummm...
didn't get the idea that it should be drinkable rather high on the alchy content, though

My father and I used to homebrew. We started out bottling then moved onto kegging with 5 gallon soda kegs. We even had a tap on the fridge! There was an excellent recipe for Pilsner we used that was high on the alchy and hops. Needless to say, we had to give it up for obvious reasons.

I have seen a few interesting modifications to the simple refrigerator, but I believe that is the first I have heard of one having a tap... mental note for a future gameroom

the machine shop next to the harbor master's office down in s. dartmouth used to have a full sized fridge with 2 taps on the door

that was a classic.
but alas... it is no more

Yep, I'm with you Steve; homebrewing was great when I had my own apartment, especially in the winter. Now that I have a wife though.....
