Something came up recently at a fisheries hearing I was at; at least by rumor they are finding the steel split shot is more deadly to water foul than lead. Granted it was a tangent given the matters at hand, Paul Diodati seemed to give it a nod like he'd heard the same..
Maybe it's all BS, if not, though nice work fisheries management, someone probably should have evaluated the effect of lead replacements when that ban was put in place
