My wife loved it, It can use some miner repairs on the body work, I am pretty sure all the paint needs to be stripped off, and the front seat needs a cover, the rug is ok but you can replace it if you wanted. come have a look if you like.

My first car in 1977 was a 1966 Chevy Caprice, I hit a mac truck head on with it.

Travelling too fast one winter morning, I hit an ice patch & nailed a 72 or 73 Celica. Aside from blowing every window on the Toyota, there was body damage, which I don't recall. The damage to the Celica was $1200. In 1983 that was a lot of cash to a teen. By the way the only damage to the Impala was a cracked end cap on the drivers side fender (the end piece that brings the fender to a point and is next to the outer headlight.)

The car is truly a tank!

A tank.
When my grandmother passed away, the house I'm in now came with the car.
1966 Caprice
Less than 45k miles.
Structurally sound with a little bit of surface rust.
The old man let it go for less than a grand four years ago.
First car I ever drove. 1986.
Glove compartment door was 2 inches thick stamped steel.
