I made a run to Quicks today. The Sound was a mess and bass fishing near impossible.

rough but fishable

Just got back...

It was rough early this AM...got half way across the sound and the boat came off of a big swell and came down hard enough so that the throttle moved by itself! (first time that happened). I heard the engine rpm increase and asked...why are we going faster?) Went a little further then turned back and fished the North Shore for a while. ( BI buoy reports 9' seas...had to be 6-7 at the reef early when I went. )Managed a few decent fish quick but it slowed. It was still rough and difficult to fish, current was still screaming and there was plenty of weed around...fish were around though. One of my crew was feeling a little green so I bagged it early. It was a stress test on my anchor gear all morning.

Yesterday, when I looked at the forecast it was 5-10 in the AM increasing to 10-15 in the afternoon. It was 20+ at 7:30am

Busy this weekend so I am waiting till next week... Not giving up yet!

Fished on Sat. Water was still churned up, but not to weedy. Picked away at fish, but nothing crazy.
