Plugfest Loot

Lets see what you got. I know who most are from but there are a few I forgot who I got them from. Who made the white and bunker canal style pencils in the middle of the pic?

Thumbs up

A few guys gave me plugs and I traded for a few. I won 4 plugs in the auction - a Backbeach black needle,a chrisjoe junior,a cool pencil popper and rockfish9 flaptail classic winner.

angler229 traded me an awesome cowboy
I got a real nice popper from googooman
and a few others.

Slip - Winning the Rockfish9 Flaptail - you're a lucky, lucky man! Now are you going to fish it or display it? Or catch one and retire it?

Thanks for taking me fishing Grandpa!

I would say that pogie canal pencil is made by Mike, M&D's. Sorry I didn't get to talk to you yesterday, although I saw the plug you gave George, NS. I am jealous. So many faces so little time. Next year.

Bruce,

Who made those two long, skinny metal lips? One looks like its white w/pink stripe and the other yellow/white? I like them...alot.

I suspected as much. Actually, I have a gold/white one for you with a lefty 1 hi slot I just tested. It swims tight and at a slightly higher retrieve speed than the yellow one I posted here a while back. Maybe swap em at TFCTFN?

Wine bottle stop with a plug as the handle. Pretty freakin cool. Also had an Oldman tail swinging from it.

I got quite a haul, unfortunatly, I cannot find my cable to down load from my camera.... One especialy special treasure was given to me in a bag with several other treasures by my long time on line friend Old goat.... It's a Creek chub surf darter, a pretty rare plug.. it was only produced for 4 years... I'm going to have fun reproducing that one...

I've got a pile of pencils, and some sweet swimmers, but most of all some real fond memories of this plugfest and all the fine folks I chatted with...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

LOL. I bought one (a beater) at plugfest from Reebok for the same purpose. Cool plug, very different set up than the Gibbs style darters.

No more pics, please!!! It's the day after I miss one of these that are most painful, as I have no loot from swaps.....

That's and early one.... the ones produced in '56 had a center line tie,the next year, they went to a double line tie, the last two years they had only the top line tie... very cool stuff..

I got a ton of nice wood. I will have to post a picture. I tried to make sure I remembered the makers of each and every plug I got.

Tagger's flaptail was a true piece of art. As good as I did on one of his conrads last year I think this will just be one of those plugs I pick up from time to time to enjoy the fine craftsmanship.
