Plumber ?

OK so I can Google this but thought I'd give you guys 1st try:

On a Moen single handle shower is there a screw or something to adjust the hot:cold mixture? Even full hot position right now is not really hot. I know the furnace hot water temp is OK, 120-130. It is as winter approaches the cold water gets colder.

I have thought about adding an in-line ss steel storage tank 50-100 gal (?) to take advantage of house heat to passively pre-warm the incoming cold water.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Take the handle off and unscrew the ring that holds on the cover plate. See if there's a plastic ring that can be pulled out and reinserted to adjust the limits.

Thanks Spence, I Googled it! Should be easy to fix and likely what I will do is for the Winter remove the limiter and put back for Summer (or not).

Buzz, I had to do this to our shower when we moved into our apartment. I like a steaming hot shower in the winter but our shower barely got lukewarm in the winter. A couple of tools, 20 minutes and a little bit of swearing due to a rusted screw and I was done.

So far 30-40 min swearing, stripped the set screw on the handle! Wouldn't budge even after WD40.
