Little Big Man

That was one of my favorite Movies- 1970. Dustin Hoffman played Jack Crab the 121 year old sole white survivor of Custer's Last Stand. I recently ordered it from some website and watched it with my son. Still was great to me.

Indians were the human beings. Jack like Forrest Gump went through all of these times in US History meeting famous or infamous people. Faye Dunaway and the bath and drug store scene were terrific. Jack says "that was the end of my religious period"

Chief Dan George got an Academy Award Nomination for best supporting actor. Maybe the best Indian performance ever in a movie.

Too bad movies like these are just fading into oblivion.

thanks for posting, this is one I saw in my teens and need to watch again.
If you are into the Custer story, read a book titled Son of The Morning Star.
An amazing historical account of little big horn told from different perspectives. The author gives the backgrounds of all the major players and its a great read. One of my fav books.

I saw that as a teen as well....The one thing I remember about that movie was that Bert from Soap played Custer....

May have to revisit that one again as well

Faye Dunaway - Saw her recently in Bonnie & Clyde - There's a lot of attractive women in films these days that look like they could be on the cover of Maxim, but on film, they don't really light up a scene. Faye Dunaway, every move, every look she gave - had that compelling sensuality that only a movie star can give off.
