I'll have an updated list of the raffle/auction items coming this afternoon. Let's just say it's pretty damn impressive!

Toby, I have someplace to be in the morning and it is a long drive for me, what time would I have to get there by to buy raffle tickets?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Bruce, We were trying to come up w/a way to sell raffle tickets to people not attending but logistically it will be tough. I might do it here for a few people but let's wait until the raffle list is finalized. I think participation in the silent auction for people not attending will not be allowed bc of worries about payment as prior charity raffles had issues w/people not paying.

Here is a link to an update I just wrote on the fundraiser (http://www.thefisherman.com/index.cf...2&ParentCat=19) which also includes a current list of the donation items as copied below.

For pictures of the items, we have been posting on the event page on Facebook which I do not believe you need to be signed up for Facebook in order to view. https://www.facebook.com/events/116100922388028/

Figure most, but not all of the high end items will be auction. Mid-range plus a sprinkling of high-end will be what we refer to as "sow raffle items" with a moderate per-ticket price. The average items will be "schoolie raffle items" which come with the lowest cost raffle ticket rate.

Thanks Toby.
Just a little background about this item: Custom-wrapped Old School Lami GSB 1321m Conventional in honor of Ezidro "Zeke" Silva

Zeke was my long time surfcasting partner until he passed away a few years ago. This rod was his and is used. He built it to his own specs using the original 1321M blank - he customized the blank by cutting it to around 10'6". Zeke always fished conventional with an Ambassador 7000 when plugging and this rod was his Block Island stick. If you like to plug/eel/jig with a conventional this is perfect. To be able to use the same rod that one of the best surfcasters of his era used is special. To be able to donate it to benefit the Owenstrong event is extra special.
