Grunion

Not sure this is around back east, so I had to pick some up while on the left coast. A refreshing change of paste. So called "hoppy pale ale". Good summer deck beer me thinks.

One of my favorite beers right now. It is available. Bit pricey at around $15 per 6 but not hard to find. Great summer beer.

I have yet to have a bad beer from Ballast Point......although the Habanero Sculpin wasn't one of my favorites

The next homebrew batch I make is going to be a pale ale. This might be my target to clone

agree on habanero sculpin. had habanero grunion on cask and was not a fan of that either (didn't notice it was habanero when I ordered). spice and beer do not mix IMO.

not really a fan of their flavored beers either, victory at sea and indra kunindra are not my thing.

Possibly best widely available ipa out there (depending on definition of widely available). I'd take it over stone. Cans are great for by the pool or at beach.

Solid malt backbone supported by grapefruit/pine/citrus hoppyness. It's a great IPA

Good to know it's back east. Seems like a very good summer beer indeed. The Ballast Point displays are huge out here in LA. Lots of everything all stacked up together.

For $35 bucks????

I picked up a 6er today just to try it. That price is a serious ass rape.

30. It's definitely overpriced, but it's really good too. I spend too much on beer all the time so I'm just numb to it. Compared to Maine beer company and trillium it's actually pretty cheap.

I drank a few grunions last night. Tasted identical to the batch of citra pale ale I made and have on tap now.

I'd drink the grunion over sculpin any day.

I think I am addicted to Sculpins. Trying to kick the habit with Farmhouse and Trippels. Seems to working for now.

Guess I should start looking in CT for the Grunions.
