personal flotation

Hey does anyone use a pdf with their waders? I've
been looking at different types on line. One automatic
inflating one said it provides 22lbs of flotation, is that even
enough to keep you afloat?

If they find you drowned with your pfd inflated, you'll be the first - no surfcaster has ever died wearing one as far as I know.

I like the inflating ones but I like the PDF fishing vests too. I think if I see the right vest I might leave my surf bag in the car.

I bought an inflatable one but never wore it so I sold it to #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, although I'm not sure it has enough flotation power to keep him up

Where I fish I'm a bit more concerned with breaking a leg or cracking my skull.

It's all relative I guess, but I think I'd almost rather have a thin profile vest than an inflatable if you were really fishing a bad area. Not sure if anyone does this.
