Reality Check.......

I just walked in the door from work and Angie gave me some devastating news. One of my sons friends Mother passed away suddenly last night leaving behind 3 young children and we are quite devasted, shocked and saddened at the news. Count your blessings this night my friends.....remind yourself that nothing in this life is guaranteed and hug your children tighter and tell them how much you love them.....you just never ever know. I am still trying to wrap my head around this. Please say a prayer for our friends.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

You can never tell your family members you love them too many times.

Sorry to hear Larry, prayers sent.

Sleepless night tossing and turning. Thanks guys. All I can think about is those wonderful kids......about as nice and well mannered as they get, well raised and now they have to go on without their Mom. It tears my heart out. What their Dad is going through is weighing on me also......I know this happens but when it hits close to home it sure is devastating. Life can be so damn unfair sometimes.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Sorry Larry.
I've been dealing with the same situation with a someone I've been friends since I was young.
Her husband was only in his late 40s, she tried to wake him up one morning last sept, died during the night from a heart attack.
She is now raising her 2 young girls alone (ages 5 & 8 )
Vert sad.
Was just helping her sat. getting ready to move out of her house she's been in for 20 years.
T&P to your sond friend.

That's terrible news, Larry - my thoughts and prayers are with all affected by the loss

You're right, you really do never know - tomorrow is promised to no one.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Sorry to hear the bad news. It's definitely a Reality Check every time we hear about someone passing near our own age or in a similar situation as us. My son is in 2nd grade and two of his classmates have lost a parent already. My thoughts also go out to yours and their family.
