We kicked the season off with a trip to SW Florida. From shore we got a bunch of schoolie snook, sheepshead, trout and tons of catfish. Had 3 charters lined up but 2 got blown out. On the 3rd we got a 100 pound tarpon, some better snook, a spinner shark and 1 pelican. Chrissy my 11 yr old hooked up the tarpon so that was entertaining

No, that was a Holdover from the Houssy in February (note the ice burg bottom right). But they are starting to trickle in to my river Spring spots now.

Did you get a boat? I remember your first boat fish. We had a good day! Feel free to blame me if you did take the plunge.

This pic from Guppy is usually followed by a dinner plate picture of fried calamari rings maybe next to a stuffy. Maybe that pic is coming tonight.

I did get a small boat but that was on a friends boat in Raritan bay NJ about 2 weeks ago. Caught on a 9" rubber shad.

Yes, when you and I went out we had a great day!

seems like the season is off to a great start...I warmed up on 2021 a bit south on some southern species....we landed tarpon, bonefish, redfish, jacks, snappers and sharks from the paddle boards, had a shot at a nice permit as well....the wind was brutal even by the standards of the locals in the middle keys but it's such an amazing fishing environment that you just deal with it and try to hide from it as best you can....hard to adjust to our current temps now and get motivated to chase stripers ...this was a camping trip....through the month we only had 1 day with a little rain mid-day, had a couple of violent overnight storms that made things interesting...it's a great escape....added the new GoPro9 for this trip as well, great little tool for capturing things and easy editing on my phone to create quick 1 minute clips....amazing results when there is a lot of light and contrast and the subjects are near...not so good in low light and distance but still playing withy the settings and features...plus the underwater shots are fantastic

Nice! Living vicariously through you guys for a month more....

Great report Scott! My days for doing the camping type trip are long in the past. That trip for now me would require a few more creature comforts... At least up to Cuttyhunk Fishing Club standards....
