This is the way these vile pieces of trash need to be handled:

The human vermin of the Phelps family, venomous traitors who style themselves the Westboro Baptist Church, who insult decent people from coast to coast by shouting vile slander at the funerals of heroes, threatened to protest this funeral as well. Yet, not a whiff of their stench fouled the air anywhere near the procession nor funeral. Therein lies the story.

They did show up, a few showed up a couple of days early.

A couple of days before, one of them ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his ass waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county. Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over.

Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out. A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.

Ranking deserves a hand in how they handled this situation.

Blackfive is one of the best blogs out there.

While I appreciate the there is a first amendment right that the WBC exploits for their vile (not do I agree with a member getting "waxed") I would gladly park my truck and block one of those shmoes if I had the opportunity. Darn, how much was the parking ticket officer? Yes, I'll pay, sorry about that...

Kinda like making a first amendment statement with an assist from a meter maid.

Finally the tides have been turned!
Instead of going through "legal" channels and getting nowhere, they levied out home-town "logical" justice. No violence (except the gas station episode), no pickets, no shouting, just do "nothing".
No moving of vehicles, no drivers to be located, no tow operators to be found for what was a miniscule amount of time in the grand scheme of things. So, in a sense, nothing happened.

Well, nothing for the WBC crowd at least....

This gives new meaning to "Passive Resistance".

Damn good news.I'm sure most people that are offended by these nutjobs would do the same.I know I would block them if given the chance.If one took a beating he should consider himself lucky and ask himself if it's worth losing his life over it.Bound to happen eventually if you start pissing off veterans and families grieving over the death of a loved one.

Here's something to consider:

"What do you think their reaction would be if vets and their families were to protest their church, and their very lives (as they have chosen to do)?"

What would they do? Would they maintain that "holier than thou" facade and turn the other cheek, or would they show their true colors (yellow that runs all the way up their backs) and call the police and file a complaint?

Whenever I hear stories about social rejects like this "so called" religious cult (their actions are not that of a religious order) I keep thinking "If this is what they will do to strangers and HEROS, exactly what horrible acts are committed against their own followers?

I have absolutely no problem with the alleged waxing of this group's member. He wasn't in town to buy girl scout cookies...... Other "church" members should take note..... Towns burying their sons and daughters certainly will....
