Talking Predict Pedros First Season With The Mets!

Lets hear your predictions on how Pedro will fare next season wearing the Mets uniform!

My prediction......11 wins and 18 losses with a hefty 3.80 ERA.....he will allow 30 homers!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

With their line-up...he wont get crap for run support, they dont have half the bullpen we do, so if he thinks the bullpen porked him here, just wait. I think he goes 12-7....he wont make 30 starts this year , no way.He will go on the 15 day DL without a doubt. In the N.L. he gets to pitch against pitchers, so thats at least 3 easy outs per game, plus, he has to hit. I can't wait to see someone give him a little chin music. Man , I'm pissed at him right now.

11-10

Because he has no bullpen I don't think he'll get tagged w/ that many losses

TDF...thats called Clemensitis.......thats what happened to Roger his last couple in Boston! Symptoms are and ERA of 2.00 or less.....total lack of run support, coming out of many of your starts in the 7th inning with a lead in a 2-1/2-0 game and having the bullpen fold and lose the game for ya!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Let's just say he'll be lucky to get more than one winning season out of those four years.

I guess 11-14 next year. ERA of about 4.

He'll go 12-8 before shutting it down for the season and going on the DL and decides to go for surgery and is out for a year or so...

He was & is an excellent pitcher...He has an over inflated EGO...He equates R.E.S.P.E.C.T with how much money he is payed..Even Schilling said today whoever does that is B.S. Good luck Pedro...Your gonna need it with the Mets...The grass is always greener...Go sit under the Mango tree this winter and reflect.. Oops I almost forgot...6-10...Then out with an injury...

I'm going where I'm going...

Can you say Dominican Republic of Pedro Martinez.

Weeker Line ups. Players haven't seen him. I bet he does well next year. 17-8 with a 3.89 era.

If the sellout does get hurt he won't care. He is guaranteed all the money. Show me the money! Then he will buy his homeland.

Callahan had a good article on Petey in the Herald today.

Shea's a pitcher's ballpark. I don't see him giving up 30 dingers.

He gave up what....26 this year? His velocity is down....last year I think he gave up 10 homers (have to check that) but he gave up more than twice as many this year than last....I don't see his velocity returning anytime soon! They are gonna start calling Pedro "The Rocket" cause' that is what he is gonna be giving up!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

He'll go 8-5 before the arm decides to quit on him for the season. He is not the pitcher he used to be and he sure as hell isn't worth 56 million dollars.

16-5 He is still pedro. ERA around 4. Year two will be a different story. Hope Clemens decides to pitch so we can see a Clemens/Pedro NL showdown.

Also, why not route for pedro and the Mets.......... so we can get double revenge. Revenge on the Mets for 86' and sweet revenge on Pedro for letting the money talk and the loyalty walk

16-7 with an ERA back down below 3.0...he's going to be facing alot of teams that haven't seen much/any of him for a long time, which will help him out alot...pedro can survive without run support, but the bullpen will cost him some W's...

mets play the yankees 6 times next season, so he could possibly face them twice...2 L's...

15 - 7 with an era around 3.00,
injured or vacationing for 5 starts
bullpen will give up a few games for him.

I just wonder how high and tight he'll pitch batters, and if he'll face or walk Barry "my records are followed with an * " Bonds.
