ARS very underrated band. All studio players from Studio One in Doraville Ga. I was lucky enough to see them a long time ago at the Orpheum in Boston. I so luved that concert. I listen to a bunch today on POD.

ARS is quite the blast from past, was looking for Inca Roads featuring Napoleon and found this one featuring Duke with a great Frank solo.

Listened to a whole bunch of jazz this week snowbound, especially Clifford Brown

Had this stuck in my head all week.

Somethin' wrong cause my mind is fading
Ghetto blastin' disintegrating
Rock 'n' roll, know what I'm saying?
Everywhere I look there's a devil in waiting

Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind
Got a devil's haircut in my mind

I can never listen to it once, always play it twice.

Once you get past the Saturn thing there is some very good music to be heard. Gotta luv the headdresses though!

This is pretty cool, except for the white dude's lame hat. Not from Saturn!

An album that doesn't get much airplay but a couple good tunes on here I have been listening to this week.

Buddy had The Last Waltz cranking at our house at Jay Peak last week. Very cool doc. Love watching the guitars in this tune.

I just noticed you put up Mocha by Scott Henderson. That tune is great and the solo is so friggin good. I have had it on my I pod for a few years. The guy is really sick.

It's on one of the CDs you burned for me. Took me forever to track him down. For some reason none of the lyrics search engines could find "Mocha Mocha Mocha", or "I'll see you in heaven with your doggie bone". Got to get a copy of Tore Down House. Definitely a new fav. Not touring this year unfortunately.

Some international sound. been following this guy, Argentinian, for a few years since I heard him on WGBH as a Berklee student. Really like this sound, Tango. Great timing in this band, orchestra. I am rarely dissapointed when I see sheet music being used.

This is a great "setting" for Pat. Pretty much same as this last tour. Unfortunately no Redman with him on the tour.

Hey Bob Pat just blows me away every time I listen no matter what style he is killing and the fact he chooses and surrounds himself with such fantastic musicians is further evidence that he has no equal in my book.

Funny, I was thinking of the interview Pat did where he says there is only one Jaco and nobody can do Jaco and it came to mind that the same is true for Pat. I think my head would explode if Pat toured with Redman and Christian McBride in this neck of the woods.

I was in early with this kid and touted his skills several years ago but I have kind of tired of his sound in the past year or so but that is probably just me. None the less he is talented.

The previous opinion was not meant to diminish the guy you like just curious if anyone else feels that way or I am off kilter with my remark. I don't usually put down artists as everyone likes what they like. I got a 14 year daughter who is an aspiring musician and I cringe at what she considers music. I try not to comment but sometimes I just can't help myself.
