6" Sluggo Spreader Bars

Anyone know where I can pick up a spreader bar with 6" sluggos? I see the 9" bars all over the place, but I don't ever see any with 6" baits. One or two of these bars may be the best way to hit these fish that are on the tinkers.

Only reason that I can think of that I don't see them is that the smaller baits won't function with the spreader bar itself. If anyone here is making their own bars, have you ever tried the smaller baits?

Just change out the baits yourself. They are screwed in.

I am pretty sure that Hogy makes them with 7' baits.

I've only tried them once on another guys boat with no luck and won't buy any. They tangle pretty easy and a pia to setup compared to regular bars.

They are more effective slow trolled and bumped rather than the typical 4 knot troll. Bluefish do huge damage to them also which is a downside.

Some consensus amongst the charter captains I talk to is that the sluggo bars are useless.

The only action you get is on the trailing sluggo. The middle sluggos do nothing.

I fished with the maker of one of the most popular variants of the sluggo last year and he only fishes singles. He slow trolls them at like 1 knot. We had 3 hookups on pink. It helps to have really high outriggers too, so it dances on the surface.
