Pump in from the bottom - overflow out the top. Barrel drains when you turn the switch off. Put an on/off plastic ball valve on the inlet, so you can shut the valve once full so it doesn't drain out. a couple macs will live for a while with no fresh water, but not many. whiting will live overnight, eels etc.

Rule has a much more liberal warranty policy 😉
