Darter......

Teddy (theGreek) had given me a darter body that he did awhile back, thanks bro. He had told me to change the weight so I drilled it out...Then the bit grabbed and went all the way through

So I turned a new one but changed it to a sealed style, Thanks Ted I hope I did it justice

length - 5 1/2"
weight - 2.3oz

Color pearl white belly and base under other colors, splattered pearl white mixed with flamingo pink on each site and top, splattered pearl white mixed with pearl purple on each side above pink the red is transparent dark red I like it better that the pearl or opaque red

He had one of those at plugfest, its a sweet shape for sure. I really like the look of it and I picked it up a few times. Kind of a nike head on a different body shape.

Love the shape... definitely Nike influence with smooth transition from the head. How does this shape swim when weighted in this fashion. I bet it will do will in rips. Excellent pictures as well

Looks real good sealed. Like the paint alot. I'm swamped with work and the kids sports. I'll call you this weekend. I was messing around with dropping the line tie down abit on these and did not like the outcome. Bigger weight in the same spot does the trick. Finally got one to work made from pine too. I want to make a bunch of small ones for Largemouth. Glad to see you are doing some stuff again.

Sometimes

it's good to ask the question....Bay was good enought to PM me with some weighting info and I headed out this morning to try to swim my first darter attempt...the first retrieve was not pretty, it sort of laid on one side veering off as I reeled....but.... I strapped on a little weight in the amount and area where he'd suggested and the second retrieve was a pleasure to watch, I'm going to play with the hook sizes too as was suggested in another thread...this was very good because the conditions this morning were not conducive to standing at the end of the pier for very long....
