I'd be too embarrassed to let you see my digs right now. What a pig pen. I can't find crap, but I am almost done turning for the winter. Been going crazy the last few weeks. I hate turning and look forward to finishing up that operation. I will still do a few here and there but the brunt is almost done. Now on to the operations I enjoy.

Just finished rolling gray concrete paint over the shop floor I didn't get uncovered and swept up last week. All I have left to paint is the narrow area I store long stock in, but that might not get done this year. I find it really helps keep the dust under control. And I needed to ge a year's worth of dust/sawdust cleaned up before I could stand to do anything more down there....

No...all the dirty work gets done in the shop in the garage. Turning, drilling, sanding, clear coat. In the basement I paint, thru wire.

Ton of work to do...been meaning to get this done for years. Maybe now that I have hung out my laundry, I'll actually get it done the way I want it.

Nice, bright, dedicated area you got there Brian. Whats with the 3 plugs in the frame on the wall?

Here are my caves.......

Here are a couple of pics of my caves. The first pic is my indoor cave. It is the room that is under an addition to my house. It is a good size room, about 16x24 and as you can see nicely organized It is where I store all of my rods, reels, plugs and my fresh and saltwater collection. The pic only shows a small part of it, but the rest is the same. It is on my list to get cleaned up later this winter so I can work on plugs and stuff in there, and display all of my stuff properly. I haven't done much work down there because of the mess plug building makes but I just got the big dust collector from jet so I may give it a shot.

The other pics are of my other man cave which is a detached garage. It is about as organized as my indoor cave. This is where I currently work on plugs, store my boat, cars, tractors, and other junk. My work bench in the picture is a nice cedar "potting" bench my wife gave me several years ago. I did use it for potting plants for a bit, but then I put the lathe and drill press on it and so it stayed for a while. The lathe is actually mounted on a piece of plywood that comes right off the bench so it is mobile. The lathe is an old 1940's lathe my father in law was nice enough to let me use. My saws, paint booth, and other stuff are in another area.
Enjoy!

I couldn't move back 4 feet anywhere in my cellar without bumping into something so pictures of my area would look like a Sanford and Son set.

I don't have a cave, my lathe and what not will be set up in my shed, along with the lawnmower, ladders, etc, it's a mess.

My painting area is in the basement, which is only 5 feet tall, so a few rolling chairs and a fan vented out the window.

I do my sanding on the kitchen table with a drop cloth on it, take them into the shed for thru wiring then do the epoxy on the kitchen table.

It's not ideal, but it works, makes me clean up after I'm done, and works fine.

Use what you have!!

I am a lil jealous of everyones caves.

Afterhours set up is sweet, Don was nice enough to show me around. He left on the picture of all his "personal" ah plugs and protos, I felt high when I left, sensory overload. Thanks.

My mancave is in ODM's basement!

Here's my other mancave, Buzz's Pub , after all the hard day's work is over!

What a time to press the camera shutter with that ad on TV, didn't see it until posting here.
