Too Windy...Too Hot!!!

First it was windy every weekend and now its just too friggin' hot to even think of sitting on the water on a hunk of plastic in the blazing sun.......I can't wait for the fall season so I can maximize my kayak time!!!! This heat is just too much! Went fresh water yesterday morning on the water before 5am and by 6am it was quite steamy and uncomfortable and the water temp was so warm the fish were deep with lock jaw!!!! Any of you guys getting out??

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Went out in the yak yesterday and stayed really cool....... With the 4' wave after wave rolling over me. Lol, Managed to grab some scup, which I dragged around along with a 3/4lb eel. No takers on the large baits. Did get 7 stripers (3 schoolies and 4 barely legal) on soft plastics in westport. It was brutal Friday night as well.newport wind and waves were cranking.

got out last week before work a couple of times in the heat, got into a bunch of schoolies and a couple of teen size fish, great way to start the day!
Off the water by 7:30, but by 6 it was already getting too hot to be out there.

This week is looking more bearable...

Narrow River

Had the river to myself for a couple of hours Wednesday morning. I only hooked up with some short Fluke. I was targeting larger Fluke, but was denied. Only saw two boats while I was out there...., oh yeah, it was hot. Off the water by 11:00am. Quite a few kayak / paddlers on the water heading to the beach.

Just been fishing on cloudy days. To hot in the sun. The fish don't like it either.
