any accurate weather sites or Apps

So was planning a trip to block yesterday Tonight leaving PJ at 700pm made some calls lined up who was going all based on 5pm with National weather service coastal forecast .. all was looking good 5-10 kts winds

930pm before going to bed I re check and the forecast changed to north wind 15 to 20Kt s out of the North after midnight .. no going any place 15 -20 kts and especially at night.. so i make the cull and pull the plug on the trip

0900 this morning forecast NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N after midnight. Seas around 2 ft.

Sailflow is what seems to be the most consistent for me.

hows is their prediction model ? i know ray uses them just thinking if NOAA posts a 15 20 kts forecast than changes it in less than 8 hrs to 5-10 .. they all need to getting the info to base their forecast from the same sources

I stopped used NOAA years back, to many omg moments after believing their forecast, Sailflow was spot on today where I fished. What did surprise me was how warm the water was, no wonder the bite was off a bit with 74 degree water. Did get a mix of schoolies, blues and a couple dozen sea bass, with a limit coming home for a delicious dinner.

Combo of Windfinder, Surfline. As a surfer and fisherman, Surfline is usually pretty locked in on forecasts.

Did it again this was the forcast for today Thursday Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

So pull the plug on another trip .. wake up and not a cloud in the sky.. oh well

Dunno man. last nights weather report (man talking) was that he was feeling like today would be nice.

If it makes you feel better it WILL be windy today. which to me, besides fog, is 90% of what I care about in a 21' boat.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

I use the fishweather app. Not sure where they pull the data from, but I haven't been burned too badly. You can pick what weather station you use and the detailed forecast is pretty good. Wind, direction, temp, wave height, wave direction, wave period.

I use all of the above, I find bouyweather to be the most consistently accurate.
