Prerequisites/Term Limits

Imo there is only one thing that will turn this government around
and have the right peolpe in there serving and knowing what they are doing.

Add to the existings reqirements, requiring anyone running for Congress/ Senate/ President, to work
1 yr on a farm, 1yr in small business and 1yr for a corporation.
If anyone truly wants to SERVE as a True Statesman and really
wants to know what makes America tick, should be willing to do it.

All these genius theorists who never did anything but
read books in school and never work a day in their life,
then go work for the govt. should be phased out by term limits.

I don't think you can call them "of the people by the people and for the people"
unless they worked in reality like the rest of us.

Nahhh. A lot of them will find a way to weasel out of the farm, small biz, or corp.

What would happen is:

  • The farm would be foreclosed on.
  • The Small Biz would default
  • The (evil) Corporation would have at best have had one unexpected solitaire champion or at worst, have one division with worst year on record, an impending law suit, sexual harassment case, and an increase in requests for TPS cover sheets.

LOL JR, what was I thinking?????

Could we at least throw in some kind of common sense test where
50% correct would be a passing grade.

Of course that's if you can get them out of the troughs, feeding on the public sectors $$!!

If you tried to make the current members of senate and congress follow this guideline you would have complaints and lawsuits up the whazoo!
You do know that these people are TOO GOOD for that kind of menial work. They will be the first to say that it's beneath them to actually "work" for a living!
Besides, they could always have one of their personal aides take care of that for them while they are planning their next big move (usually to take more money or screw the tax payers again).
