PM Prof Moriarty and get the carbide cutter and holder. It is a game changer IMO. Once you have the dupe set up and are comfortable with it, you get into producing masters out of lexan or plexi. Be sure to keep a master turned blank to verify your set up as you change from different plugs. This tool allows you to crank it up to another level. A few of us have been trading turned and marked plugs with the square ends left on..... Let us know how it's going.

I will let you know Ross, and Chris will post a pic or two. Looking forward to trading squared ended master's of which I have two as we speak. Little different version of the canal style pencil that work rather well. I realy am looking forward to ramping up the quality, sameness, of each plug I turn.

Also Paul I will be getting ahold of you shortly.

Congrats', I bet you're excited.

If you are primarily going to turn with the Vega, I have a design plan for a Vega chip-control box if you are interested. Using this box with a 4" hose to my dust colector has all but eliminated turning chips in my shop. It is adjustable for blanks from 6" to 11.5".

Good score on the Vega, Swimmer. I had to wait 5 weeks.
