Saying good bye to a dog.

Its been one week since we had to say goodbye to our little dachshund Simon after 18 years of companionship.Waking up in the morning or when I come home from anywhere and my boy is not here,it's very hard.Still listening for the snoring or clicking paws on the floor.

Hell of a week.Kind of puts things in a different perspective.

Sorry to hear that, it really sucks. It must not seem right at home being so quiet. They are just like one of the family.

The one fix......wait a bit and get another friend..........

I've met that dog. 18 years is a good life. Just remember how your life was better with him. RIP.

Sorry for your loss Basswipe

not hearing all the familiar sounds drives
you mad....as you so want to hear them so badly

dogs are sooo big on greetings and when they suddenly stop
it's rough to say the least.

Thanks everyone.

With all the craziness going on in my life I can at least give thanks today for the time and companionship I had with him.
