Hello everyone,

Recently went fishing with Buzz and got into some mackerel. Love taking pics of bait, mackerel can be so different. Hope these help more pics to come as the season rolls on!!!

Not sure I have seen a black lateral line painted on any mac plug?

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

These macs were dead for at least an hour, we will have to see if that line is visible when the are alive...

Buzz, do you do any type of brine before you freeze them? Whats hydrogutting? sounds like you put a hose in his mouth and blow his guts out his arse, but thats just a guess.

Hydogutting is just the opposite: put a tube up it's ass and blow the guts out the mouth. . Yes I brine those I intend to troll, start from sea water or fresh add Kosher salt (lots) + baking soda (a little to preserve coloration) and lots of ice. Overnight ideal. I am just starting this practice so still working out the details. O.D. posted a video on FB of my follies If you are using for chum, just throw in freezer.

I just added a pic of some hose attachement devices to hopefully make the hydrogutting process simpler. I was told it should take less than 10sec per mac. Hopefully this tool cuts a circle around the anus and just blows everything out a slit in the gill membrane.

Excellent, I'm running out for an early morning challenge I like to call. How many sabiki hooks can I bury in my hands. I had heard a simple brine soak helps with the freezing but did not know the ingredients. Thanks for the intel!

Carpenter, adds the horizontal broken up stripe like that to the vermiculations.

Nice, although looking at your pictures of macks I see room for improvement. You ought to see my latest etex project. I am using old etex and was going by weight not volume and it seems to work just fine.
My season is going well with a 36# being my best so far. I can't post the pics due to some security token????
