The item I gave to Joe dates back to the '30's at the very least, I would bet - Uncle Crafty knew the guys who originally came up with it - or used it anyway. I think the original design may go back even further.
Actually, your Dad and I knew a lot of the older men (now passed on) who came up with this stuff - they were machinists so they could also produce the molds for said items they were tinkering with to cast them from tin or in some cases just lead - and I've got a couple of their molds, too, that were given to me.
Because it's now in the R&D stage, I am prohibited from saying anything further about it

I have some eel-skin apparatus... but they are a bit heavy for my needs.

I am working on something bigger right now.real big, like 7 &9 ounces big.oops said too much. anyways I haven't forgotten about the skin head,it just will take some time.
