Wow....

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

these were modeled after a classic creek chub, but it's in such good shape i didn't want to toss it in the salt.

the lips have holes in them for mounting screws, i forgot to do the layout before painting, so i did only two with the screws, then just glued the rest. the epoxy over that should hold them, no problem.

i swam them in a quick outgoing current, they wiggled just below the surface, how did the originals run?

i still want to make a batch of the smaller ones, these are too big for some i the places i fish.

swap for a freak plug.......uuuuuhhh yeah

Smile

YS if you want something smaller to clone try to find a 7200 series which was 4 1/4 in and 3/4 oz or the 7300 series which was 6in and 1 7/8 oz and also a 3oz model.
