Long Shot

This is a long shot but I was wondering...

Can you split "S" video? By this I mean, at work, we have an S video camera used to take booking photos. However, only one machine out of the 2 has the winnov capture board. Can I purchase another board, install it on the second computer and split the S-video from the camera to go to both computers. Short version, can one s-video camera be used by 2 machines, either at the same time or one at a time?

Thanks!

Bob Thomas

This is an amplified splitter so you are guaranteed not to lose any signal strength/quality in the picture, although, there is a simple s video splitter here.

Personally I have split a 3 ft cable without a problem but I did not care about quality, but anything past 25' I would get an amplified splitter.
