Mass hunting warning about CWD
They sent an email warning residents from bringing deer carcasses back from PA as they have documented a case of CWD there.
That would truly be a further disaster for the deer population in this state, let alone this country, if they cannot find a way to combat this disease (short of putting up walls and preventing out-of-state hunting)!!!
It is just a "warning", but we all know how effective those kinds of "warnings" are when you look at how they stopped the spread of aquatic invaders like zebra mussels, dydimo and milfoil.
Hope this doesn't become a new fact of life here, as it would completely ruin the hunting lifestyle, for deer at least for now.
