Spinning Rod

I built a pair from a couple of old fiberglass blanks that where collecting dust at a local B&T shop. Cut 10” +- off the butt... Ended with 7+’

They have served me well and stood up to my abuse for 5-6 ? Yrs.

They are pretty stiff , a little too stiff me thinks, after seeing a couple high end rods fire off plugs and handle nice fish...

Lookin for suggestions on a good all around boat spin rod or specs to build a couple

Winter project
Thanks

Hey Guppy,

Man 10 more days and I will be flying home from the other side of the world to get my boat in and fish........

I bought 3 of these blanks and made a xmas gift spinning rod for my best friend, mine had to wait. He just started fishing it last week and likes it. I used very small runners and a small choke maybe 25mm. Kind of the latest and greatest 'theory' in rod building. Told him to learn the FG knot for getting thru those little guides.

It should be great for bassing. Maybe if you were into all 25lb plus fish a little light but I like the feel.

If you are up mine and Niko's way you can bend a blank if you want.

Not too pricey either.
