Days like this (when you are trying to put the hoopy stuff asside for a while)

Vicinity, Congress St, Fort Point Galaxy and Fort Mosaic on tap at Trillium

Alter Ego and Green and a player to be named later up at Tree House

I think I give up

Pot and Kettle too!

95 was jammed, so I bailed on Trillium only to get into the major cluster called the Brimmfield Flea Market with nobody directing traffic. Still made it to Tree House at 5 though.

Did you like that one? I opened it the other night and I couldn't finish it. It was seriously boozy. Might be one that needs a little time. At $15 I had high expectations and wished I just got a pack of breakfast stout instead.

curious what you think.

Haven't had this batch but had it last year. It's very good but it is big. May tackle it tonight or hold off and split it with the wife another night. It is a lot to drink the whole bottle.

It is big, but nothing like KBS...etc. I like the Night and Days, but I tend to like bigger beers, Old Rasputin is a long time fav. Secret Stairs is really good and not as big and heavy. Same for is Pot and Kettle. Haven't seen Stairs in rotation for a while.

When I stop in I am seeing a lot of wooden barrels all over the place. Likely more big stuff to come.

Side note, I saw some barrels at Tree House this last time out. That and a bucket with "Brett" marked on it. Always interesting to "snoop" when waiting in line.

I have a KBS and a Wicked Weed Dark Ages that I'm going to let sit in the fridge until Thanksgiving. Bring it to Turkey day and share. I married into a family that loves there beer so there is a healthy competition for "best in show" Thanksgiving day. Everyone brings stuff to share.

I saw that the Raspberry soak is dropping today at Trillium so you were correct rphud, that some new barrel stuff was imminent.

Artaic bumped my plan to buy Fort Point. Only so many growlers in hand and a bunch at home still full.
