I need to apply for a special permit thru the Zoning Board in order to raise chickens.

$150 Filing Fee
$20 for I don’t know what
$40 for the health department to inspect the coop

Freakin’ politics; way too much government!!!!!

We're doomed, Gup

Just do what Redlite does. Let them live in your garage and don't tell anyone. And let them run around the neighborhood during the day. And if anyone says anything just say they aren't yours. Lol

don't have roosters ! cull them asap if you have chicks
there's an old saying that roosters don't crow in mexico
because they're in a taco ....

for a good reason.... and that is they like to crow
way too loud ,way to early, in the morning

I had a rooster show up in the yard this past summer during my daughters bday party. Chased my hen around the yard all day trying to mount her. Was more amusing than hiring any clown.... Well maybe not backbeach but still pretty funny. Lady down the street lost her #^&#^&#^&#^& when i knocked on her door in nothin but shorts and a visor and asked her if it was her cock cause it wasnt mine

On a more serious note, make sure he clarifies how many chicks before u need to get a permit. It really isnt worth it. When i add up the aggravation of feedin her, pickin chick #^&#^&#^&#^& up off my garage floor every morning and having a 2 car garage as the most expensive chicken coop it is cheaper to buy eggs at the store. But it would crush my daughter if we ate her cause it is her best friend

one day i had just about enough of this one ROOSTER
he loved to annoy me... he was a stalker
every morning he was 10-15 minutes earlier
with his dammed CROWING...
so darn LOUD it would curl your toes

so i decided to scare him real good
and i snuck up on him in the little tree
outside my house while it was still dark

I waited and waited for the very first ray of sunshine
watching his every move until he started to wake up
and i crowed so loud the whole friggan valley heard me
and there was feather's on the ground heh heh
