Hows your areas look.

Check out my old areas lots of droppings and feeding sign.
Checked a new area in Rochester looks good but a long walk .
Took about 35 Min straight walk to get to what I thought was a good place to put up the stand. Have not found any scrapes or rubs yet.

Yeah same here... yet to see fresh buck sign. I'ld think with this moon we'd have seen some premature scrape's, no?? Ya know mike those long walks can realy put ya in an unpressured areas. Last 2 yrs I've learned from long walks. don't walk on the rail road tracks or on the rocks with your boots....those saturated oils in and around the tracks get into the soles of your boots and spook deer big time. If theres any kind of walk I do it with sneakers..its faster, more comfortable & no scent. I got my lacross's in one & hand bow in the other....I seen and shot way more deer since then. Looks like next weekend should be cooler for long walks and hanging stands.

Wanted to have the stands up, going for the portable blind until more scrapes appear. One area close to me has some big buck tracks sunk deep in the mud.

I got a lot of droppings but zero scrapes and rubs thus far. It has been warm though.

Lets just say the dog is getting her orange vest even when she's in the back yard.

Question it's strange

the ....elkhound is barking allot...at night, but very little sign... and i haven't seen the apples under the apple tree disapearing overnight like they usually do....almost as if the deer aren't on the move yet...
