New Lathe for Father's Day

Wife surprised my with a new-to-me lathe for father's day. We had originally bought this from a co-worker about 2 years ago for my father in law, but he never used it. So, she got it from him and gave it to me so, in her words "you'll stop complaining that you can't make lures like all the other guys on your fish site thing". lol No complaints here!!! It's a Rigid WL12000? Not sure if it's any good, but I'm pretty excited!

anyone know if there's a duplicator attachment that would work with this? Went online, but didn't find much help.

Looks like a nice machine! Good luck with it.

There are dozens of duplicators out there in all different sizes. try searching for woodworking tools or woodworking machines or woodworking supplies then within those sites search for duplicators. Penn State , Woodcraft , Rockler , Highland Woodworking , Packard , and many more sites like them.

thanks Salt.....yeah, I'll check out those sites. Gonna pick Nightfighter's brain too if I can get him over here to check it out one of these days. Love the fact that I can come on here and get so much help.....as always, it's much appreciated.

Make à duplicator out of wood and set it up .....à pat. In front of thé lathe and trace it to thé plug with pins and à cutter on top .
You Hold thé duplacator and free hand thé pat.
Follow me it will work

I have the same lathe and have used it for 10 or 15 years. Just not sure how long I have had it. It has turned thousands of plugs and is still running perfectly.
There are 2 little ports on the motor for oiling. I use 3 in 1 oil and I have had no problems at all with the unit.

No boat, back in the suds.
