Habs Needle Clones

Decided this winter that I was going to build some Habs 2 oz needle clones, I have a few SR originals and almost never throw them as I don't want to lose them, but they catch too good not too.

So built I made 18 of them, there is 16 in the picture, 2 were already sent to the Spring Fling on the other site.

Did my go to needle color which is black over orange, then some gunmetal over orange, all yellow, green mullet, creamiscle, and classic block island green

I did two different weights on them, some are 1.8/1.9 oz and the rest are 2.2 oz. I used a .25 oz in front of the belly hook and one or two .5 oz tail weights, will rig the ones for my bag with a cut 6x 3/0 or 4/0 and a 6/0 heavy dressed siwash.

they all have a slight amount of gold pearl in the epoxy

Look good. Just for curiosity weigh an original. The one I had was labeled 2oz but weighed 2.45 oz rigged. I suspect lighter might be better much of the time, however.

I really like the gold in the epoxy that looks great. I suck at putting on 'the right amount' of glitter so maybe that's an alternative...
