Diecast Model Car Collection

Hey guys, is anyone here a collector of these things or looking to become one? I've got a bunch of cars that belonged to my dad which he collected during the late 90's up until his death in 2001. I'm moving overseas in less than a year and I need to start cleaning things out, wish I could take everything with me but it's just too costly. I don't really want to put these up on ebay, dad was a diehard fisherman and I think he would have liked these to go to someone who shared the passion. I've got a 12-car plexi display case of different Ferraris and another with NASCAR related stuff, a few muscle cars and some race car models. All are 1:18 scale, in excellent to good condition, and a few have certificates of authenticity, one has the original box. If anyone is interested I can post more specifics and some photos and try to come up with an idea on price. Thanks.

Ok, for the NASCAR collection, which is in a 12 car mirrored back plexi display case are the following cars
From Action Performance:
- #24 Jeff Gordon Dupont Monte Carlo
- #88 Dale Jarrett Ford Quality Care Taurus
-#3 Dale Earhhardt Goodwrench Service Monte Carlo w/ original box
- #66 Darrell Waltrip Big K Victory tour 2000 Taurus
- #3 Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jr., Andy Pilgrim, Kelly Collins C5-R Corvette, this is the car they raced at 24 hours of Daytona in 2001, it is the "raced" version (painted with road dirt etc.)
From Revell:
- #18 Bobby Labonte Interstate Batteries Grand Prix w/ certificate of authenticity
- #3 Dale Earnhardt Goodwrench Service Monte Carlo w/ certificate
- #2 Rusty Wallace Miller Lite Thunderbird
- #8 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Budweiser Monte Carlo
- #31 Mike Skinner Lowe's Monte Carlo w/ certificate
- #50 Ricky Craven Budweiser Louie the Lizard Monte Carlo
And from Auto Art:
- #1 Ivan Stewart Toyota Trophy Truck MCI Baja 500

All are 1:18 scale and in excellent to very good condition. I don't think any of them are worth very much, I've seen the Corvette for sale for $50 and I think the Toyota truck is worth something but I can't find any prices in USD to reference. I can post pictures if you're interested. Gotta go now, I'll put up more later.

The Ferrari collection is in the same type of display case and contains:
By Bburago:
- 1957 250 Testa Rossa
- 1962 GTO (this is an older car, from the 80's I think)
- 1987 F40
- 1965 250 Le Mans
- 1999 360 Modena
By Maisto:
- 1990 348 ts
- 1997 550 Maranello
- 1995 F50 Coupe
- 1995 F50 Convertible
Also:
by Kyosho - 512 BB
by Anson - 1970 246 GT Dino
by Mira - 1991 512 Testa Rossa

All are 1:18 scale and are red (the only color for a Ferrari) and are in excellent to very good condition.

I also have some miscellaneous cars.

- Universal Hobbies Ferrari 330 P4 #22 with a single plexi display case
- Universal hobbies Porsche 917 #2 Gulf with single plexi case
- Bburago Alfa Romeo 1934 2300 Monza
- GMP Sammy Swindell #1 Channel Lock Sprint car with certificate of authenticity
And from Ertl:
- 1969 Oldsmobile 442, Crimson Red and Black, Limited Edition of 2500
- 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 427, Hugger Orange, Limited Edition of 2500
- 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6, Champarne Gold and Black
- 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, Orange
- 1949 Mercury, Black

Again, all are 1:18 and in excellent to very good condition, the Alfa is an older model and not quite as nice. I'd like to sell the two larger collections intact with the display cases, so those would have to be picked up, the others I could ship. So let me know if there's anything you're interested in and make me an offer, trades for fishing gear considered as well. Thanks S-B.com!

Actually, I don't need much gear right now (who said that?), but I can always use some nice wood plugs, I've been trying to acquire a few Beachmaster Cowboys to fish with next season, so I'd be interested in those or any other nice stuff from custom builders. You may have missed it, but there is a vette in with the NASCAR stuff. Notwithstanding a plug trade, I could actually use some extra money right now, how about $150 for the stock cars with the case and $125 for the Ferraris with the case, they're fairly heavy and would be a lot to ship, but I would be willing to meet you, I'm up on the North Shore (Mass) but I'll be headed down south for both the MSBA and RISAA shows soon. As far as they other single cars, if there's something you want, make me an offer, if its only a few I could ship them to you. Either way I'm always open to negotiation (and I truly love a good haggle), so let me know. Thanks.

Not sure how this is going to work out with you guys?

I ask because I may be interested in:
1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 427, Hugger Orange, and the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6, Champarne Gold and Black.

If they are sold, thats cool.....

Only reason being both my brothers passed at a young age, the youngest (Steve) drove an Orange 69 Camaro SS and (Marc) the smarter middle brother, drove a Red 70 Chevelle SS (which I guess I could get airbrushed from a friend).........

Anyway, just saw this and the cars and it was a thought. Too bad no 70 Mach I that I drove back when they were around

What I could really use are some truly deep diving swimmers for use in deep rips, something that can swim down 10 - 15', and big, like 3 - 4 oz. and 8"+. If you don't have any deep divers, I'd still be interested in larger metal lips, or anything that's different from what's available commercially, something to give the fish a different look. Also, are you interested in all of the cars? Wizardude expressed some interest above for two of them and I'm unclear as to whether your offer was for the whole lot. Thanks.

You can have those two wizardude, I've been trying to find out what some of these cars are worth but it's proving to be difficult. I don't think these ones are worth much, how about a trade for a nice plug or two? I've got a couple single-car plexi display cases that you can have as well if you want. You guys drove some sweet cars back then, if I ever have the means I would love to own a few nice old muscle cars.

Clammer, are you still interested in any of the other cars?
