Faces on Bottle darters

I have been staring at a sporting wood bottle darter and it baffles me as to an easy way to cut the rounded slope face.

I am trying to find a routing bit perhaps, drum sander etc but i can not seem to figure out how its done.

I am looking for some feedback on taking on this task.

thanks In advance Skippy.

start by making a cradle to hold your blank using belly holes. (pin matches belly hole)

You're on the right track with the drum sander. Remember you want to make it a repeatable process, this one is all about the fixtures

Its too much to type call me and I'll walk you through it.

Domination takes full concentration..

With any luck, Joe/Rockfish will weigh in with his jig.... his bottles are beautiful, and I do actually fish his plugs!

It is all about the jig! And when searching, it helps to change the search option from "titles only" to "entire post"
