I know you were joking but some jokes get eye rolls instead of laughs.

Apparently its a true story...sad but true.

In today's world, there is no room for that type of nonsense. Especially when it comes to educating the young ones. Shame on the teachers who initiated this type of negative school work!

Be encouraging, not discouraging

I think this is an updated text/program designed to combine math and social studies. What Lame brains!

I've spent a decent amount of time in Atlanta and aside from the heat February through November it's a pretty nice area. Well, ok, the traffic is terrible and many of the suburbs suck. There is some great shopping if you know where to go.

Norcross isn't exactly the deep woods. Note: I once spent a week in Perry, GA and have experience with less urban types.

Curious what happened to these teachers. Don't think they should have been fired but discipline would have been in order...or at least a nice soap cake upside the head.

This is so stupid I think they should be put on teaching probation for a year and have to have any curriculum changes approved by maybe a department head or principal , etc.

"In this one, the teachers were trying to do a cross-curricular activity," Gwinnett County school district spokeswoman Sloan Roach said.

Roach said the teachers were attempting to incorporate social studies into math problems.
Thanks to "All Children Left Behind", the teachers are now forced to combine math and social studies? We definitely should continue cutting education funding...
