Need Help on Cellar Bulkheads

I have an old Bilco, which I want/need to replace. I am looking for something a little better than the standard red painted steel whatever. The bilco door in place now sits low maybe 22 to 25 degree rise. My cellar opening extends 84" out from the foundation wall and is about 60" across. I want one that rises to just below the bathroom window and naturally extends the full 84" length of the opening from the foundation wall. I am not saying money is no object because it is, but what I need/want here is certainly going to be more costly than the Bilco which is there now. Any suggestions help will be greatly appreciated.

Well of course you can always build a custom one yourself, I would go to a lumber yard (not Home Depot) and get information on what they have and what your options are. I am sure there are a few different types.

Precast and they are excellent option to building one yourself. Here is a link to one company who does the work.

I installed one of these. No painting and no rusting.

I second the Bilco's we've installed several. Easy, clean install and very low maintenance.
