Trimming a 11' Vapor Trail

I have a member interested in a 4-8 Vapor Trail. Currently he uses FSC 2 piece rods because of transporting. (Small car). He wants 6". Im thinking 3" tip and 3" butt. Any thoughts?

I told him you need to 30K for the rod. With it you get a new car! Lol

Still looking for asuggestions. Hate to cut an expensive blank which proves itself as is with all that use this model. But my friend insist on cutting. Won't buy a rack or new car. I suggested approx 3 "tipped to next size tube & 3 " from butt. Actually he doesn't care if it doesn't cast lightweight lures because he's mainly throwing big riggies and plugs.
