Up for sale
If anyone knows someone looking for a brand new three bedroom beach house less than a driver and nine iron from white horse beach, above the flood plane, all high end, its listed today for $950,000. We fully expect it to go close to 1million based on the comp’s we have seen.
We built it to move into and then Plymouth finally pulled their head out of their arse and decided no more parking around our main house and beach stickers required anywhere in the vacinity, so white horse beach is now a pleasant family beach, no druken yahoo’s from all over eastern mass, no #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&s peeing on your property, throwing their empties in your yard as they stumble up to find their car. Even on a 90+ Friday or Saturday we can sit on our front porch and listen to the birds, maybe to waves in the distance and not foul mouth idiots coming off the beach after a day of drinking in the sun.
Hard for Peg to sell her familys summer cottage, but we do not want to run a vrbo rental, although anyone looking for a place to hide capital and make money, rentals like this easily get over $3000 per week.

R/E in New England is nuts. I had a guy using a helicopter to checkout our place. Offered us insane money but where would I go?

Yup and we were tempted to hold out for more, but i think she did the right thing, especially since they had the money and it was a time dependent offer. Especially with some neighbors requesting right to match and i knew they would have to get a house sold in a not so hot market to even come close.

Where would I go? Is a question we all ask ourselves as we get around third base... I am in our last home. Both agree. Wanting for nothing.
Good report. Congrats Peg and Bob. Lot of work went into getting here.

Thanks and yeah we are happy here, although its starting to feel more like Houston, this soapy pattern is getting old. If this country turns to #^&#^&#^&#^& we might consider selling and heading to New Zealand and then you think about family and grand kids and reality will set in.

Exacty. We've been offered enough money to do just about anything but our place is totally liviable, has all we want and need and near everyone we love.

Wow that’s great. You should get more I am guessing
After seeing it 1st hand . It’s not some low end flip. It’s high end quality turn key re model …. Should say new build
I feel you on having reservations about selling …. had a summer cottage on watuppa pound. Like old school cottage that was in my stepfathers family before there were roads to get to it.
But we got surrounded by Mc mansions and it just lost it appeal. And had no desire to sell our home and rebuild ..

Probably just as well. New Zealand has some of the strictest immigration laws in the world.
Hell, if I wasn't married to a citizen, I'd probably have to go to Italy, Spain, or Portugal. Portugal is pretty affordable compared to here, or Spain.

Its amazing how pewceful your life can be if you turn off the cable and put the phone away. So many friends of mine are off the rails depressed about the news and dont realize that they would be a lot happier if they were not exposing their brains to every single bad thing happening in the world.
