bug season in nh? when it is.

heading up to franconia notch this weekend for a hike. i remember going a few times before in june and hitting the black flies heavy. not sure when that was though. do i need to bring the deet up with me?

one good thing about hiking during bug season is that not too many people are up there.

I was up that way, in Gilead Me. this past week. My hand is still swollen from bug bites. If I didn't have waders on most of the time my legs also got bit.

I did on the 2nd day use my sun gloves and a Buff sleeve, much better results.
You almost have to put your bug juice of choice on 1st then your clothing.
