Spice up Bone-Colored Plugs(?)

Similar to the Blurple/black thread, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas/examples of plugs using bone as the primary color. I know the color alone works great, but just plain old bone looks kind of boring.

I hav3 done 2 things with Bone beside leaving it alone.
1) put a sprits of black over it, kind of a splatter effect.
2)solid black top like a redfin.

Along with the black on top, splash orange on chin and tail. I did a few years back I did a few GT3's in a bone base, charcoal top with splashes of orange. Sweet looking combo.

I hate...HATE.....all black or all white plugs! I refuse to do them as they bore the hell out of me! I can't even look at them! With the white or bone colored plugs I like to ghost scale the sides with a silver, gold or copper....very lightly......and do a light swath of blue down the back! Very, very light....just enough to give the plug some character! I will post some pics later.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I think a creamsicle type color scheme would work well with an interference gold color scale. Think of ccbc goldfish color except creamsicle as the base instead of the nemo orange color, pink eyes would go awesome. Super strike made a creamsicle popper in that color scheme but they didnt add the gold interference.

A simple bone/cream colored base and a light sand colored back just dark enough to make it two toned has been very productive for me in the past. SUPER BORING but very productive on sand.

Yeah simple black and white are boring but both are effective and both can be painted with spray cans or spray epoxy appliance paint with relative ease

Domination takes full concentration..

If you are adding other colors to a bone plug.....its not a bone plug anymore.

Bone is Bone.

I am with Larry though....I like to do color schemes on mine as well....part of the fun of plug building to me..

Some good ideas here, I'll try a few in the future.

Would love to see a few pics if any of you have them.

Love all white. Pretty much all I find myself fishing nowadays. I know it is boring from a making stand point but from a catching standpoint I have been convinced.

Like Throwing Timber suggested fogging gold interference over bone gives a real nice glow to it.
