F*&*%$#@#@( driveway

Man I got stuck in my driveway today. That snow to rain made a massive mess as I am sure it has in your driveway too. It is a gravel way and it look like a friggin frozen over riverbed like Tynan post's in his loving winter thread. I need korkers just to get to my car. Good thing I am used to moving around the canal. To make things worse almost ran myself over too. Had to put the car in reverse and let tire spin oh so slowly. I get out and start to push the car it finely gains some traction and off in reverse it goes, slowly . Now I have to sprint around the side to jump in to get control before it hits tree. No foot traction and I almost slip and fall beneath the damn car. Dive in just in time and save the bumper. Good thing its a small car, not heavy. Probably just leave a bruise. I love winter

My yard is a hockey rink - frozen boilerplate from one side to the other - my dogs were doing 360's first thing this AM...

Nearly took a digger myself - slow and easy does it, I guess til the thaw, whenever the hell that may be -

My driveway is on an incline and i can't pull my truck in the driveway because it just slides right out into the street. last night Knock on the Door....Georgetown Police telling me the truck is in the street again.

One year my wife's car slid all the way acroos the street and into a tree. In the 17 years I've lived there I've ended up in the Emergency room twice from taking a header in the driveway.....and pretty much take at least one every year

I salt and sand the crap out of it and it still slides, granted with the salt and sand it doesn't cross the street but Man what a pain in the ass......

Took a spill this morning. Work is 6 block walk but all down hill in downtown. I think businesses shoveled their sidewalks less then residents. Did a sliparoo with my laptop in my bag and then my coffee mug (no handle) went rolling away. makes 5 times already this season.
I try to laugh it off but your situation was no laughing matter.

It's tough when you know tomorrow morning it will still be there. I almost slid into my garage (hadn't even opened the door yet) when I pulled into my driveway this afternoon. The ice leftover from shoveling was rough when I left this morning ,but the sun melted it just enough to make it super slippery. Be safe fellas.

The other week when it was bad I had to sand 150' of a 6% grade...thank god for carbide spiked wading boots but my wife slid to the bottom of our hill and I really wanted to get her car up to the road.

A lot of work, took nearly 3/4 a barrel of sand.

Wife took a fall last night at her sisters house...off to the doc's today with a pretty nasty bump and cut. Leather soled dress shoes...wanted to tell her I told you so...but I value my life!
Prof. - I did run my foot over a few years back pushing my van...must have looked pretty funny limping after the van as it rolled back down the hill!

LOL. I have told my wife the same thing about the shoes. If she goes ass over tea kettle I'll still get blamed for not putting enough sand and salt down. My drive is still a mess. Hasn't really melted much at all even after all this nice warmth.
