Free speech didn't win out. The option to make money won out. A&E realized they'd look like hypocrites running the already recorded episodes.

there was a time where scientists thought........
we were possibly the only intelligent life forms in the galaxy
at least that was the popular view.....
then as telescopes got bigger and better
and we intercepted alien technologies
that myth became completely outdated....
and yeah, the german's did intercept something too
