What if Newt is the nominee running against Obama...
Do you vote? or stay home?

don't know, he's a serial cheater and therefore fundamentally dishonest with people that he loved enough to wed...if you are #3 do you really think "you're the one"?...not good, guess I'd have to determine who is more fundamentally dishonest...would be a tough call...

So rather than move the line on your morals, why not vote for a 3rd party as TDF said or don't vote for anyone for that position? What would Saul tell you to do?

not sure how that is "moving the line on my morals", I said that it was a problem for me and is a factor along with a host of other factors when considering a candidate...

I believe, based on history that write-ins and third party are votes are essentially a non-vote and can result in the greater of two(or three) evils being elected, not voting is chosing to simply do nothing and is meaningless....we are faced with having to choose between the lesser of bad choices all of the time, doesn't mean you sit out and let things go to hell....

Saul would choose the Marxist Community Organizer...so I guess he'd tell me to vote for Obama

maybe the quality of candidates reflects the lack of expectations and the "they're all the same" attitude of many...if you just "expect" people to act a certain way(corrupt) and don't demand better...you usually get what you expect...we see it everywhere in our society...
I think someone referred to it as "the soft bigotry of low expectations"...which is interesting because some also would contend that we are experiencing an increasing "soft tyrrany" from those that we have elected
