airbrush delight!

just tried out the airbrush. never used/owned one before but after threat of divorce if i used spray cans anymore and a generous santa claus, it was time. i used some ceramcoat paint i had around, thinned it a bit, and just sprayed basic black on some swimmers i had ready. what a joy! no choking fumes, no stinky basement and the brush is a pisser to use. my wife and dog are happy as well!
brushes are easy to clean, stripped them both down and reassembled fairly easy. i can tell there is whole LOT to learn though

No more spray cans

I'm tired of using spray cans also and read with interest your transition to an airbrush. I was wondering if you use a spray booth of any kind with teh air brush and if so, what's your set up like?

so far, no spray booth. i have an old one i built for spraycans that has been taken apart. i'm using the shell now without a fan, going to build a new one soon. using ceramacoat paint, acrylic/water soluble. i wear a mask, no odor though..... here are some pix, some were done with spray cans to use up what i have left (cannot afford not too!). they are hanging in a dryer my friend built, e-texed and done!

I still use cans for white/black/yellow. I use the brush for detail work.
