1st Time Kayak Fishing

I tried it today and had a blast. I was amongst the schools of fish and caught a few shorties. I even managed a flounder. I'm borrowing the yak from a friend because my skiff is taking so long to get fixed. I wouldn't buy this particular yak i'm using but it is getting me out there. One thing I noticed you really feel close to the action which I really liked.

Tried launching through surf yet?

I tried for the first time and it was only a very light surf off the Race.

Boy did I get beat up the first couple times.

I wouldn't even consider it. I went today and was trolling a salty bugger swimmer through schools of pogies. Nothing took it. I can see how this can be addicting though. I like it and I still have it. My friend has 2 so he won't miss it for awhile.
