Bait pens

So I put out a large 6 foot round bait pen , for pogies with out fail if I put 6 on a Monday and go back Wednesday all dead location has moving water. Any suggestions

Because right now not worth the time and effort

Too long, too many tide changes, they get cooked in daytime low tides unless you sink the pen in deep water. At least they just died. You weren't robbed, nor had your pen destroyed by seals.....

There is a bait pen in my basement. It is a few cubic feet and a toasty 30°F. No issues with season long storage for all bait 😜

^ this... another reason I fish at night with eels... easy to keep in an olive jug under the dock.. as long as you don't over crowd them keep until you need them.... lets me spend more time fishing and less time getting bait.
